Plank Challenge

 

Have you ever done a plank? Well, I have. In fact, I had to do one every day from October 24, to December 14th. Each day I had to do 30 second planks. Every week we had to add 15 seconds to our plank and on our last week we had to do 2 minute 15 second planks! This was a fun but a very tiring and hard experience. It was difficult to remember to do a plank every day. Also, it was hard to do the extra 15 seconds every week because of forgetting to do planks which decreased my plank stamina. 

At the end of the plank days, we had a plank challenge. This entailed everyone in the class doing a plank for as long as they could during our hour class period. I went for 7 minutes and 3 seconds and placed 5th in my class. This challenge was a test of mental strength and stamina. During the challenge I listened to an audio book which took my mind off of the pain in my arms and shoulders. Overall, I thought this was a good thing to do in class because it taught me how to make and have a daily habit. I have decided to make a new daily habit of washing my face every morning and every night. This will help my hygiene and habit stamina.
